Candidate Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you register with CareerAction and buy the Passport to Success service.
1. Who we are
CareerAction is operated by [company legal name], [legal form], registered in the Marrakech Trade Register under no. [RC], ICE [number], with its registered office at [address], Marrakech, Morocco ("CareerAction", "we"). Contact: info@careeraction.ca · www.careeraction.ca.
What we are not. CareerAction is an independent career-guidance and candidate-verification service. We are not a visa sponsor, an international recruitment or employment agency, a hospitality placement intermediary, an exchange-programme sponsor, or a seasonal or H-2B placement provider. We do not offer, promise or guarantee employment, a placement, a visa or a work permit.
2. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You register for yourself only and keep your login details private.
3. What the service includes
The Passport to Success service includes:
- a profile and personality assessment, based on your answers and documents;
- a check of your identity, diplomas, work history and two recommendation letters against the documents you provide;
- a personal report listing the open positions from our partners that match your profile, goals and preferred destinations;
- a budget estimate for your top five matching destinations: programme fees, flight, and living costs for your first two months;
- where available, contact with people who have completed a programme or live in your destination;
- if you choose a partner programme, the introduction of your verified file to that partner and the exchange of its contract with you;
- a follow-up message 30 days after you sign with a partner.
We deliver your report within 72 hours of receiving both your payment and your complete file (all forms, the assessment and the required documents). We tell you if something is missing; the 72 hours start once it is received.
4. What the service does not include
Selection, sponsorship, visas, work permits and placements are decided and handled only by the partner you choose, under its own contract and fees, which are separate from ours. We cannot influence a partner's or an authority's decision. Budgets, salaries and living costs are estimates based on sources dated in your report; real costs may differ.
5. Price and payment
- The service costs €100 (one hundred euros), paid once, [all taxes included / plus VAT at the applicable rate]. There is no subscription.
- You pay by bank transfer to CareerAction's account, or through an international money-transfer service (such as MoneyGram) to the beneficiary we indicate. All bank and transfer charges are yours, so that CareerAction receives €100 net. The service starts when the payment is received; send us the transfer receipt to speed this up.
- No refund. When you pay, you ask us to start the service immediately. You acknowledge that the service starts at once and that, as allowed by article 38 of Law 31-08 on consumer protection, you lose your right of withdrawal once it has started. The fee is therefore not refundable, including if a partner or an authority declines your application, or if you decide not to apply.
- When you register you confirm this by ticking: "I ask CareerAction to start the service immediately and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once it has started."
6. Your commitments
- Give true, complete and current information, and only genuine documents that belong to you.
- Tell us promptly if your situation changes (passport, availability, contact details).
- Deal with the partner directly and in good faith once you choose its programme.
- Not use the service or its content for anyone else, or copy or resell your report.
If we find false information or documents, we may stop the service and close your account without refund, and we may inform the partner concerned.
7. How we are paid by partners
When you sign a contract with a partner we introduced you to, that partner may pay CareerAction a commission. This commission is paid by the partner, not by you, and does not change the €100 you pay us. We introduce you only to the partner programme you choose.
8. Your report
Your Passport to Success is for your personal use. We keep the rights in its format, methods and content, except your own personal information.
9. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We share your file with a partner only with your explicit consent.
10. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for the decisions of partners, employers or authorities, or for the outcome of any application. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fee you paid. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Closing your account
You may close your account at any time by writing to info@careeraction.ca. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Closing an account does not give right to a refund.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force on the day you pay applies to your purchase. We tell registered users of any change by email.
13. Law, complaints and courts
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Please contact us first at info@careeraction.ca; we answer within 10 business days. If we cannot resolve the matter, the courts of Marrakech have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rules that give you the right to bring a claim in another court.
